Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. The COTA will work under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists to provide high-quality therapy services to patients in need. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and a passion for helping individuals improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients under the direction of licensed occupational therapists
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to help patients achieve their therapy goals
- Teach patients how to use adaptive equipment and techniques to improve their independence
- Communicate regularly with therapists, healthcare providers, and patients' families to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and progress notes
Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Valid state license to practice as a COTA
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
